ATS FXP™ offers a unique, approved combination of flame, smoke, and corrosion resistance characteristics. ATS FXP™ is a dual-laminate system. The corrosion-resistant interior liner consists of a synthetic veil and glass reinforcement, saturated with a chemically-resistant vinyl ester resin. This corrosion-resistant interior is contained within an exterior structural shell made using ATS’ firesafe proprietary phenolic resin. ATS FXP™ was specifically designed to exhaust robotic wet benches, gas cabinets, tanks, photo resist, dry etchers and other processes common in semiconductor fabrication facilities. Available in standard brown or optional white or gray colors. (Other colors available on request.)
ATS FXP™ is easily assembled using the ATS H-Collar™, the ATS Internal Beaded Slip Collar™ or flanges, including the ATS Van Stone Flange™. The ATS H-Collar™ and ATS Internal Beaded Slip Collar™ maintain the integrity of the ATS FXP™’s corrosion resistance by providing a continuous corrosion barrier on the inside of the duct. H-Collars™ do not require external glass and resin lay-ups, saving time and money.
FM#4922 approved for installation without sprinklers: TS FXP™ is listed for use on non-flammable corrosive vapor exhaust systems (exhausting up to one square foot of flammable liquid exposure per inlet) without the necessity for internal fire sprinklers. It is approved by Factory Mutual Research, File # J. OR6A1. AC, based on FM #4922 tests.
FM#4922 approved for smoke removal without the necessity for a separate smoke removal duct system: TS FXP™ is specifically listed by Factory Mutual (after non-collapse, non-close off fire tests) for smoke removal from cleanroom areas when properly designed and sized without the necessity for fire protection sprinkler systems or dampers installed within the duct.
FM #4910 approved: ATS FXP™ is specifically listed by Factory Mutual for use in Cleanrooms.
ATS FXP™ complies with paragraph 2703.10.4.2 Exception #1
ATS FXP™ is listed under Fume Exhaust Ducts and/or Fume and Smoke Exhaust Ducts for cleanroom applications and general purpose use in exhausting air, noncombustible fumes and smoke without the need for interrupters or automatic sprinkler protection.
ATS FXP™ complies with paragraphs 9.3.4, 9.3.5, 9.3.6, 9.3.7 & 11.2.1.1.
Maximum Continuous Operating Temperature: 230°F (110°C)
Coefficient of Thermal Expansion: 2.0 X in/in X 10-5 X °F of Duct (not ambient temperature)
Example: 100’ at 100 ° F (Differential in Duct Temperature) = 2.0 X 1200” X .00001 X 100 = 2.4”
ATS FXP™s are manufactured integrating proprietary trade secret methodologies and resins in conjunction with patents. ATS ChemBond™ joining compound and ATS CleanCoat™ coating are also made using trade secret formulations.
