All components of the ATS FXP™ duct systems have undergone extensive research and rigorous testing to ensure the highest quality and performance available. Our commitment to ongoing development is reflected in the outstanding performance and durability of ATS systems.
In the course of almost 40 years, ATS FXP™ duct systems have been subjected to hundreds of independent tests at labs and research facilities worldwide. These experiments include:
Factory Mutual Research
FM 4922 Duct Fire Test Standard (1981, 1990). ATS FXP™ ducts can be installed without internal fire sprinkler protection.
FM 4910 Cleanroom Products Standard (1997). ATS FXP™ ducts meet the protocol for installation inside cleanrooms.
Offgassing Testing
Balazs Nanoanalysis – USA – ATS ChemBond resin system liquid offgassing study showed 14 pptrv of organic condensables, far below the ITRS allowable limit of 26,000 pptrv.
Analytical Laboratories Pte Ltd – Singapore – Testing on Dynamic Headspace Offgassing of ATS FXP™ duct – show results that are a minimum of 5 times less than the maximum allowable amounts of contamination (and 168 times less than the maximum allowable total outgassing) in ng/cm2 as specified by a leading storage drive manufacturer.
SEMI E108-0307 – Test Method for the Assessment of Outgassing Organic Contamination from Mini-Environments Using Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectroscopy. ATS ChemBond Resin and the ATS FXP™ duct meet the requirement protocol.
ASTM
ASTM E136 – Standard Test Method for Behavior of Materials in a Vertical Tube Furnace at 750°C. ATS structural composite tests conducted by Testing, Inspection and Certification Services in Las Alamitos, CA resulted an all samples passing.
Physical Strength Characteristics of ATS Laminates and Field Joint Connections, ATS exceeds all minimum requirements for ASTM D638, Type III specimens for Tensile Strength, ASTM D2583 for Barcol Hardness, ASTM D2584 for Fiber Content and ASTM D7264 Standard for Determining Flexural Strength.
UL 181
ATS UL-181 Duct™ is listed by UL as a Class 1 Air Duct.
